Tolan appointed head of operations for Barnsley Premier Leisure
Former Barnsley FC apprentice Glenn Tolan has been appointed head of operations for sports trust Barnsley Premier Leisure.
Tolan has worked at the trust’s Metrodome since it opened in 1989, but will now have responsibility for all sport and leisure activities within Barnsley Premier Leisure’s 10-strong portfolio of leisure venues.
“I have a real passion for the industry and for the town,” he said. “We can make a significant contribution to the quality of life for those living in Barnsley and I intend to get around all our venues on a regular basis to ensure this is delivered.
"The biggest challenge I face is delivering the continuous improvement of our facilities; developing staff teams and providing an excellent quality of service to our customers."
