Tone Leisure plans tennis extension for Blackbrook Pavilion
Work is set to begin this summer at the Tone Leisure operated Blackbrook Pavilion in the south west to convert two outdoor tennis courts into an indoor framed fabric structure.
The £350,000 project has received £200,000 in funding from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). The facility will continue to be managed by the leisure trust.
Karen Arnold, chair of Tone Leisure, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with the council and the Lawn Tennis Association to deliver a two-court indoor tennis extension at Blackbrook.
“We are currently unable to fulfill the demand for the existing four indoor courts at the facility and believe the additional covered courts will provide significantly enhanced tennis opportunities for players of all ages and ability." Details: www.toneleisure.com
