Triple win for Fitness Express

Hotel health club operator Fitness Express has boosted its client base by 25 per cent, thanks to three new contracts.

The Folio Hotel-owned Redwood Hotel and Country Club has appointed the group to take over the management of its leisure facility, which features indoor and outdoor pools, a 100-station gym, sauna, solarium, steamroom and beauty salon. The club has 4,500 members and Fitness Express’ aim is to increase membership numbers by 35 per cent within two years.

Fitness Express is to manage the leisure clubs located in four of the seven Holiday Inn hotels acquired by Whitbread: Carlisle, Peterborough, Cardiff and Norwich.

The company has also won the contract to run the Cormiche Health Club at The Best Western Hotel in Knaresborough.
