Health and fitness equipment manufacturer, Nautilus, has announced its second quarter and six month figures.

Second quarter net sales were $100.2m, compared with $100.6m for the same period last year, and net income was $1.9m, against $4.7m in 2003.

Net sales for the half year to June 30, 2004 were $231.1m, against $230.1m for the same period in 2003, and net income was $8.4m, compared with $18.4m last year.

Commenting on the results, Nautilus Chair and CEO, Gregg Hamman, said, "Our second quarter results are a clear sign that our turnaround continues to proceed as planned".

He added, "We believe we will enter the third and final phase of our turnaround in the fourth quarter of 2004, when we expect to achieve year on year revenue and earnings growth".
