UKinbound announces details of Parliamentary Reception
UKinbound has announced details of its biennial Parliamentary Reception, which will take place at the House of Commons of 4 June.
The event – to be sponsored by Visit Kent and hosted by Janet Anderson MP – brings together UKinbound members with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Tourism, with the aim of helping the government get “a better understanding of the industry, and the current challenges and prospects for inbound tourism”.
Speakers at the event will include culture minister Margaret Hodge and Tobias Ellwood, the shadow minister for tourism.
Stephen Dowd, chief executive of UKinbound, said: “The reception is organised exclusively for UKinbound members to meet the MPs that represent them. It can be tough for those in public life to fully grasp the challenges of an industry as disparate as ours, and so establishing a dialogue between professionals and parliamentarians is crucial.”
