Valladolid government allots funds for training
The Valladolid Municipal Government in Bacolod City, the Philippines, is reportedly alloting PHP200,000 (3,095 euro, US$4,222, £2,110) towards the implementation of technical and vocational spa courses for a selection of its unemployed residents.
According to the Visayan Daily Star newspaper, Mayor Ricardo Presbitero has signed a memorandum of agreement with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority director general Augusto Syjuco for the conduct of skills training in spa therapy courses and also for higher learning courses such as etheric nerve impulse therapy courses.
The money will provide training facilities as well as an instructor and learning materials.
Each of the courses can be attended by out-of-school youngsters or unemployed town residents while it is hoped trainees will aid the eventual establishment of an Institute for Spa, Health and Wellness Development Center in Valladolid.
