Viceroy appointed to operate Yas Hotel
Viceroy Hotel Group (VHG) has announced that it has been appointed to operate the iconic Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, which is owned by Aldar Properties.
Located at the heart of the emirate's Yas Marina Circuit, the 499-room property first opened to coincide with Formula One's inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2009. The property - to be managed by VHG with immediate effect - comprises ESPA at The Yas Hotel, a spa which offers eight treatment rooms and segregated male and female areas.
Also included as part of the spa is the Yas Presidential treatment suite, which is equipped with its own hammam and a steamroom featuring a rain shower with colour therapy. Meanwhile, Kinesis and Technogym equipment is installed in the hotel's fitness suite and a relaxation area overlooking the race track. Facilities also include two rooftop infinity pools.
VHG chief executive officer Brad Korzen said: "Abu Dhabi's world-renowned opulence and lavishness precisely mirrors the mission and aesthetic of the Viceroy brand."
