Viewing platform for Forth Rail Bridge?
Network Rail, the group responsible for operating and maintaining the UK's rail network, is reportedly considering plans for a viewing platform on top of Scotland's Forth Rail Bridge.
According to the BBC, the company is looking into the possibility of allowing visitors travel more than 300ft (91m) to the top of the iconic structure overlooking the Firth of Forth.
Network Rail has recently completed a 10-year scheme to re-paint and restore the landmark structure, which included the installation of three lifts to provide access to workers.
A spokesperson told the BBC: "We have a good amount of experience of building these platforms for the work that was being carried out and could look at making it more permanent.
"We are examining the feasibility of establishing visitor access to the bridge and this is one of a number of options under discussion."
