Village Hotels & Leisure Clubs opened two new properties in Bournemouth and Hull, the latter costing £16m.

The two new hotels bring the group’s total up to 16 nationwide, and parent company De Vere Group plan to roll out the Village Hotels brand by a further two to three hotels per year.

Each hotel’s 40,000 sq ft (3,716 sq m) leisure facilities, which can be used by locals as well as guests, include an 80 station fitness area equipped by Technogym, a heated swimming pool, a sauna, a steamroom, a whirlpool, a HealthWorks spa with four treatment rooms, and Wellbeing studios for classes such as yoga and pilates.
