Visit London promotes capital’s rivers and canals
Visit London is launching a £500,000 marketing campaign on 16 July in London and south east England to promote the capital’s rivers, canals, lakes and lidos.
The Waterside London advertising promotion will place posters on the South Bank as well as on the sides and rears of buses and on Tube panels.
The posters will feature The O2, a bridge, a fish, a boat and Battersea Power Station.
In addition, 800,000 Waterside London guides will be distributed with the Time Out London magazine and other publications and made available from Tourist Information Centres, bars and cafés.
Marketing director Martine Ainsworth-Wells said: “The campaign will highlight the breadth and diversity of London’s waterside attractions. Even people who know London well will discover new experiences, whether it’s a high speed boat trip, a new waterside restaurant or a day spent foraging for treasure on the banks of the Thames.”
A new Waterside London section will also be posted on the tourism organisation’s website. Details: visitlondon.com
