VisitBritain aims to encourage young visitors to be ambassadors for UK
VisitBritain has launched a new campaign designed to encourage young visitors to encourage their overseas friends and families to consider the UK for a holiday.
Access All Areas is sponsored by the post office and is targeting international students, backpackers and working holidaymakers.
“Younger visitors, aged 18-34 are vitally important to our visitor economy,” said youth marketing executive, Michael Clewley.
“While they are enjoying themselves here in the UK, VisitBritain wants to convince them to act as ambassadors for the destination to friends and family around the world.”
Part of the campaign involves distributing a new map featuring attractions such as the London Eye, Angel of the North, Stonehenge and the Eden Project as well as listing festivals, film locations and unusual events.
It also provides transport information and offers deals with the Youth Hostels Association and St Christopher’s Inns. Details: www.visitbritain.com/aaa
