WTS appoints Catherine Warren as corporate operations director of spa division

WTS International has named Catherine Warren as corporate operations director of its spa division.

The appointment is an internal one – Warren first joined WTS in 2010, where she was most recently in charge of the Forbes Five Star Spa and Leisure Programmes.

Her previous career roles include vice president of health and wellness at Carillon Miami Wellness Resort and medical spa director/assistant athletic director at the Atlanta Athletic Club. She also had a stint as an on-board spa manager with Steiner Leisure in the Hawaiian islands.

Warren was recently named as one of the ‘top five spa influencers’ by American Spa magazine and is a regular contributor to a number of wellness publications, a guest expert on South Florida TV and a regular presenter at international industry conferences.

In her new role at WTS, Warren will oversee a portfolio of accounts utilising her "considerable skill-set" in areas including strategy creation and implementation, resource management, brand development and the integration and management of assets.

“Catherine Warren brings a wealth of experience to our firm," said Gary Henkin, president of WTS International.

"She truly understands the luxury spa market and will be collaborating very closely with our spa directors in her new role. I’m thrilled to have her representing our company at a corporate level.”

Commenting on her new role, Warren said: “I’ve learned so much and really grown as a professional with WTS and I truly respect and appreciate the integrity, pursuit of excellence and innovation that only this company can boast.

"It’s such an honour to be able to work for the best in the industry. I feel such an allegiance to the entire WTS family, and there’s nowhere I would rather be.”

WTS International is one of the world’s leading consulting and management firms for spas, fitness and leisure facilities. For more than 40 years, it has provided feasibility studies, design, pre-opening and daily management services for spas and leisure facilities worldwide.

The company’s portfolio of clients includes numerous hotels and resorts, residential developments, private clubs and real estate developments.
