Water safety to be featured at AIMS seminar
The 2009 AIMS Safety Seminar, to be held in conjunction with the IAAPA Expo in Las Vegas, US later this year, will for the first time include a detailed aquatic education track.
Organised by the Amusement Industry Manufacturers & Suppliers International (AIMS), the seminar will also offer formal aquatic certification testing for participants.
Scheduled classes include sessions on waterpark attraction inspections and the prevention of waterborne illnesses.
According to an AIMS spokesperson, the aquatic track has been added to the seminar programme following feedback from the industry. The new programme will be monitored by the AIMS Advisory Board, a committee made up of key industry operators representing a wide array of industry segments.
The 2009 Safety Seminar will be held from November 15th through November 20th at the New York New York Hotel in Las Vegas. Over the six day period over two hundred classes will be offered by over one hundred instructors covering operations, maintenance, and aquatics.
Certification testing will take place on November 20th.
