Wave Leisure to upgrade Seaford Head Pool
Seaford Head Pool in East Sussex is to see £10,000 invested in replacing the flooring throughout the building with a specialist non-slip vinyl surface.
The move is in response to feedback for new flooring for the pool which arose in the Customer Survey and Users Forum held after the pool reopened in May following a £130,000 refurbishment of the building’s roof.
The facility, which is operated by sports trust Wave Leisure, will close from 11 December until 2 January to allow the work to be carried out.
Elsewhere, the trust has introduced a new pilot weight management scheme at Peacehaven Leisure Centre called Fresh Start.
A spokesperson for Wave Leisure said: “Unlike other weight management programmes, Fresh Start is not a quick fix, or a ‘new you in just 7 days’.
“What is guaranteed is professional advice about healthy eating for managing your weight and being more active, given in a series of one-to-one sessions with advice of how to put it into practice.
“Fresh Start is for everyone of all ages and levels of fitness. It will be piloted at Peacehaven Leisure Centre before being rolled out to Wave Leisure's other centres in the spring.”
