A year on from the start of construction on the new Wembley Stadium, the project team has announced that work is ahead of schedule and sales are up on projected targets.

Figures announced by Wembley National Stadium Ltd (WNSL) indicate a great demand for the Club Wembley seats and executive boxes – so much so that 95 per cent of boxes have already been reserved.

The Club Wembley seat packages have also been popular, said WNSL chief executive, Michael Cunnah: “The sales success underlines the quality of our offer. The marriage of an unbeatable line-up of major events, world class hospitality services and service is proving extremely popular.”

The Club Wembley seats are sold with a 10 year licence and so far 1,000 orders have been placed.

The construction team anticipates that the 133m-high arch will be ready to go up in January 2004 – around five weeks early.
