Work starts on new Lincoln play area
Lincoln City Council (LCC) has announced that work has commenced on the construction of a new £80,000 play area at Boultham Park.
Due to take five weeks to complete, the area is located near the putting and bowling greens and will accommodate equipment such as the Flymobile and play trails. St Francis Hill School children selected the final design of the play area, which was drawn up by Wicksteed. The scheme is being funded through Section 106 contributions.
LCC portfolio holder for health and recreation Alister Williams said: "This is the latest development in our Play Strategy, which is improving play facilities for children and young people across the city."
