YHA to market Baden-Powell House as London hostel
The Youth Hostel Association (YHA) is to market The Scout Association’s flagship London hostel to young travellers in its 2004 accommodation guide.
Under an agreement between the two organisations, the 180-bed Baden-Powell House on Queen’s Gate will be marketed as YHA South Kensington.
YHA chief executive, Roger Clarke, said: “This is an ideal partnership for YHA. We have much in common with The Scout Association in terms of providing opportunities for young people, in our international outlook and in the strength of our brands.”
YHA has seven other hostels in London: YHA St Pancras, YHA City of London, YHA Holland House, YHA Hampstead Heath, YHA Earls Court, YHA Oxford Street and YHA Rotherhithe.
