Yorkshire Tourism Board announce White Rose finalists
The Yorkshire Tourist Board (YTB) has revealed the 55 finalists for its 15th annual White Rose Awards, which celebrate the best in the region’s tourism industry.
Operators had until 21 May to enter their business for the 14 awards, which are designed to recognise excellence in tourism.
The winners in 11 of the categories will automatically be entered for the national Excellence in England awards, run by VisitEngland.
The awards are open to both members and non-members of the YTB and include Hotel of the Year; Visitor Attraction of the Year; Best Tourist Information Centre and Best Newcomer to Tourism awards.
This year, two additional categories have been added, Yorkshire Pub of the Year and Yorkshire Top Tourist – an award run in association with the BBC.
Among the finalists are the Thorpe Park hotel and spa, the National Railway Museum for Conference Venue of the Year, The Deep for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year and Xscape for Best Newcomer to Tourism.
