Zagreb Eye opens to the public
Croatia's capital Zagreb will try to emulate the success of the London Eye when it opens its latest tourist offering, the Zagreb Eye.
While not quite a ferris wheel, the attraction will offer a panoramic view of the city from a viewing deck located on the 16th floor of a city building on Ban Jelacic Square.
The deck, covering an area of 300sq m (3,229 sq ft), began admitting visitors on 13 April 2013, but will only officially open on 1 July 2013. The opening hours are between 10am and 11pm, Monday to Friday and admittance costs HRK5 (£0.57, €0,67, US$0,89) for children and HRK15 (£1,70, €2, US$2,67) for adults.
