£10m leisure site gets green light
A £10m mixed-use leisure development called Rockingham Park Leisure will be developed on the northern outskirts of Corby, Northamptonshire, following council approval.
The 75,000sq ft (7,000sq m) scheme will include a three-star, 86-bedroom Hampton Inn by Hilton; a 12,000sq ft (1,114sq m) health and fitness club; a 5,000sq ft (464sq m) day nursery and a 7,000sq ft (650sq m) children’s activity centre.
Mike Foster, founder of construction firm OFF Developments, said: “Wetherspoons has chosen the 4.5-acre scheme to launch a new family pub and restaurant format which will trade as The Samuel Lloyd, and Dominos will also premier its new European format at Rockingham.
“Subway has taken space and we are close to signing up a final tenant for the last remaining 1,150sq ft (106sq m) food unit.”
