£11m sports centre opens at RGU in Aberdeen
An £11m sports centre for students, staff and the public has opened at the Robert Gordon University.
Located on the outskirts of Aberdeen, the centre has received funding from Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire councils and local businesses.
It offers two gyms, a 25m pool, a three-storey climbing wall and two multi-activity halls.
The centre will also offer rehabilitation services and advice on nutrition.
Principal of the university, Professor Stevely, said: “We now have a complex capable of hosting international sport and it is our intention to attract major events.”
