£8m health club in Maida Vale
Next Generation is opening the first of four new health clubs planned for 2002 in Maida Vale, London next month.
Situated in the former Carlton Green Club, the 65,000sq ft club will include a pool, spa, sauna and steam room plus a hair and beauty salon. There will be a gym and children's gym, as well as an aerobic studio offering a range of fitness and relaxation classes.
The three-storey Next Generation Carlton will also have both indoor and outdoor tennis courts and a member's restaurant and bar.
Scott Lloyd, managing director, said: 'The announcement of our very first London club is a significant move for us. We are confident the facilities and standards we will provide are like nothing else currently available to the people of North East London.'
Founded three years ago by former British David Cup team captain, David Lloyd, Next Generation has a 35,000-strong membership and plans to roll out an additional six clubs in 2003.
