Comfort Zone refreshes, rebrands and expands Skin Regimen line

We used myrtle berry, carnosine, spinach and tephrosia purpurea to develop the Longevity Complex

Comfort Zone has introduced the next generation of its signature anti-pollution and pro-ageing Skin Regimen range, now rebranded as Skin Regimen/Lx, featuring 15 innovative products.

Supercharged by its proprietary Longevity Complex, the collection was launched in its first guise in 2017 with 10 products designed to counteract visible signs of ageing related to stress, pollution and urban aggressors.

Comfort Zone has now tweaked the complex with new bioactive ingredients, replacing maqui berry extract with the more potent myrtle berry extract, known for its higher antioxidant capacity.

Dr Simon James Jackson, head of botanical research at Comfort Zone, explains: “Myrtle berry is a powerhouse of antioxidants and we get it from a specific zone in Sardinia well-known for the longevity of its inhabitants who tend to live to over 100 years old. This ingredient was a key source of inspiration when redesigning our Longevity Complex.

“We used myrtle berry along with carnosine, spinach and tephrosia purpurea to develop the Longevity Complex, a result of extensive research in our laboratories, proven to protect skin cell longevity and delay cell ageing rate by 80 per cent."

Proposed benefits include reduced wrinkle depth and a brightening, hydrating and smoothing effect on the skin.

James Jackson says the complex is incorporated into the majority of Skin Regimen/Lx products.

Alongside enhanced formulations, Comfort Zone has improved the range in terms of efficacy, sustainability and user experience, refining textures and fragrances.
