John Harris joins Freemotion

Freemotion Fitness has appointed John Harris to the role of director of Business Development.

Harris joins the company with more than 30-years leadership experience in a number of different sectors including non-profit, hospitality, fitness and healthcare. He previously served as the president and CEO of The Granite YMCA in Manchester, New Hampshire in the US and vice-chair of the State Alliance of YMCAs concurrently.

He has also worked as VP of Operations for the YMCA Metropolitan Detroit; where he was responsible for managing six branches, two resident camps and a number of childcare and education programmes.

Other roles include regional vice president for Midtown Athletic Clubs, formerly the Tennis Corporation of America and regional management roles at The WellBridge Company, Health Development Corporation and Fitcorp Healthcare Centres.

In his new position, Harris, will be responsible for growing Freemotion's presence within its target markets.

He said: "I'm thrilled to be joining the Freemotion team. I'm looking forward to contributing to Freemotion's growth as we expand our customer's ability to drive their business results while helping people live more productive and fulfilling lives."

Harris is the latest in a line of recent appointments at Freemotion - including Chris McGill; VP of Global Sales, Sheldon Guy; director of Sales for Canada, Tony Ali; country manager UK and Jill Drummond; Global Education & Program manager - as the company continues to drive its ambitious global expansion plans.
