EXF Fitness has proven critical in helping us make that vision a reality and their equipment truly reflects the look and feel of Third Space
Rob Beale, fitness director for Third Space

boutique fitness equipment manufacturer, EXF Fitness, has recently completed its fifth installation project for luxury health group, Third Space. This latest project has seen the supplier create and install bespoke functional fitness and storage solutions at the newly opened Third Space Islington.

The club is home to a wide mix of state-of-the-art facilities including, for the first time, a dedicated space for families called Little Space. At the heart of the luxury health club is the 7,000sq ft (650sq m) arena of flexible training which includes a performance cardio area, dedicated strength training area and a bespoke functional training rig.

The bespoke functional training rig, which is 8580 cubic ft (243 cubic m), incorporates a unique boxing bag rail and four box bags and monkey bars. As the club is situated underground, a bespoke rig was required due to height limitations.

The team designed the rig to seamlessly fit around all overhead service pipes. Working within small confines, the team at EXF were able to maximise every inch of space.

The rig incorporates bespoke storage solutions for smaller pieces of equipment such as kettlebells and dumbbells.

In the main gym, EXF created and installed five bespoke squat racks. The team carefully considered the design, placing the racks alongside the main walkway to avoid any obstruction to the layout.

Finally, in the studio, EXF created and installed bespoke storage solutions. To maximise on space, EXF incorporated existing pillars within the room to create wall mounted storage for bars and pump sets.

“When designing a new space, we have a very specific vision of how we want a club to look. It needs to have its own unique identity while staying in keeping with the aesthetic of the Third Space family,” said Rob Beale, fitness director for Third Space.

“EXF Fitness has proven critical in helping us make that vision a reality and their equipment truly reflects the look and feel of Third Space.”

EXF offer so much more than modular systems and pick and mix installations, they don’t stock ‘standard’ sizes as everything is produced to a bespoke design. 25 years of experience means they can create high-quality fitness experiences in even the most challenging of spaces, providing everything from the flooring, to the equipment, to the storage.

Without these limits and restrictions, EXF are able to create the most exciting and innovative workout experiences in fitness; their work can be seen in Gymbox, Ministry Does Fitness and Mob45 to name a few.

The in-house installation team is able to work with the utmost flexibility to suit any schedule. EXF believe wholeheartedly in premium quality and offer unrivalled guarantees to give you complete piece of mind. The flooring products all confirm to EN standards.
