Klafs launches Frimas – a brand new three-layer arctic cold therapy experience
“Klafs has developed a new way for people to cool down,” says Phillip Rock, Klafs CEO, announcing the company’s new Frimas Ice Steam Bath. “This multi-sensory experience combines various forms of water, innovative technologies and aesthetic design to gradually immerse users in the cold.”
Frimas experience rooms are cooled to between 0-5°C by arctic-inspired ice walls called Glacier. These can be customised in size, feature blue backlit acrylic blocks and generate a fine ice steam infused with a refreshing mint aroma.
It's recommended guests spend up to 10 minutes in the room which also features Klafs’ Holli snow and steam shower which envelopes guests in a flurry of ice crystals and cool, moist air dispersed from a ceiling shute.
Spa and health club owners can opt for extra visual highlights by including either of Klafs’ ice fountains; Polaris or Stalagmit. Both the fountains and snow shower can be variably positioned in the room.
Frimas has been designed with an intelligent air circulation system to optimise energy use, ensuring the cabin reaches near-freezing temperatures quickly and efficiently.
As a full-service general contractor for the professional sauna and spa industry, Klafs also offers technical planning and consulting. Klafs has clients in a wide range of industry sectors, including hotels and resorts, health clubs, thermal spas and cruise ships. In addition, the company supplies private customers who are equipping their homes and vacation retreats.
