Corinthia Hotel Lisbon elevates guest journeys with Prism Light Pod red light therapy solutions

Combining our Prism Light Pad services with existing treatments like facials and body therapies significantly boosts results

Corinthia Hotel Lisbon has announced a brand new partnership with whole-body red light therapy supplier Prism Light Pod.

The luxury Portuguese hotel's spa treatments now include the brand's full-body red light therapy pads, and guests can also rent the pads for private use in their rooms.

“Combining our Prism Light Pad services with existing treatments like facials and body therapies significantly boosts the spa’s results,” said Sharon Cassius, VP of spa and wellness, Prism Light Pod. “Guests enjoy improved skin health, enhanced circulation and a sense of complete rejuvenation.”

Whole-body red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, has been scientifically validated for its wide range of health benefits. These include enhanced skin health, reduced inflammation, improved energy levels and faster recovery from physical exertion.

The therapy is non-invasive, stimulating the mitochondria in the body’s cells to accelerate cellular repair and regeneration. Proposed benefits include faster post-exercise recovery, enhanced skin elasticity and improved overall vitality.

“We’re delighted to collaborate with Prism Light Pad to bring this innovative wellness solution to our guests,” says Hanni Schiavon, spa director at Corinthia Hotel Lisbon.

“At a time when wellness has never been more important, we’re proud to be among the first five-star hotels to offer whole-body red light therapy as part of our holistic spa experience.”

While red light therapy has long been recognised for its ability to reduce oxidative stress and support muscle recovery, Corinthia Hotel Lisbon has identified three key areas that resonate most with their guests: improving sleep quality, alleviating jet lag and providing support for menopause symptoms.

Prism Light Pod’s whole-body pad is designed to be both powerful and portable. Its key features include:

• 2,200 red and near-infrared LEDs.• Accelerates recovery up to five times faster than natural healing processes.

• Easy-to-use one-button operation with 30-minute pre-set sessions.• Claimed to be the largest therapy pad in the industry at 6ft x 3ft.

• Utilises 660nm red light and 850nm near-infrared light, with irradiance at 50 mw/cm².• Comes with a hygienic PVC cover and a convenient carrying case for portability.
