Higher wellness for all with GAIA Skincare

Having gone through a cancer journey with a family member, I appreciate that sometimes you just need a break from it all

GAIA Skincare, an innovator in the UK wellness industry, continues to evolve its treatment and training offering to foster inclusivity and support for both spa teams and their guests.

The brand’s mission goes beyond its award-winning natural skincare products; Gaia is dedicated to elevating wellness in the hospitality industry through connections, experiences and care for others.

In 2021, Gaia launched the Affinity Cancer Experience, a holistic, healing journey designed to comfort individuals undergoing medical treatments.

The experience offers reassurance, relaxation and spiritual healing in a safe and calming environment. It’s tailored for those seeking a break from the physical and emotional challenges of their treatments.

With increasing demand for this journey, Gaia expanded the training of the Affinity Cancer Experience into a stand-alone course, available to spas and hotels across the UK and Ireland. This allows more individuals, especially those navigating cancer, to access the soothing benefits of these specialised spa experiences.

The course is designed for therapists aiming to expand their skills and accommodate clients with medical conditions.

Accredited by CIBTAC and linked with SATCC, the training is a government-recognised qualification.

Over three days, therapists are guided by Gaia’s experienced head trainer to ensure they feel confident in delivering a safe, nurturing experience for all guests.

Diane Nettleton, founder of Gaia, comments: “Having gone through a cancer journey with a family member, I appreciate that sometimes you just need a break from it all. A change of scenery. Permission not to think about what is happening. The opportunity to be normal and do things with your family and friends.

“We want to help our guests live their lives and grasp the moment, no matter what is happening.”
